If India’s women earned a minimum wage for the unpaid work they do around the house and caring for relatives, they would have made 260,686.8 billion Rupees in a year! 1

Traditionally, housework has been largely unpaid and undervalued, with the assumption that it is the natural responsibility of individuals within a household, primarily women. Globally, women spend three times as much time on unpaid work as do men and boys. Across the world, women work for 1640 crore hours every day without any salary.2
