Andy Corrigan has a particular interest in the matrix of technology, content, experience, and their liminal intersections. He is a Digital Library Co-ordinator at Cambridge University Libraries, and an Associate at Cambridge Digital Humanities. He has also worked on the Darwin Correspondence Project, and has a background in archaeology, specialising in historic building survey and graphics, with a focus on the application of photography. Andy’s passion for enriching the digital landscape, has resulted in a crowdsourcing project to transcribe the notebooks of Oliver Rackham, and a lead role in the UKRI funded Walking with Constable project, developing innovative methods of engagement with digital content. In 2023, he was awarded an AHRC-RLUK Professional Practice Fellowship. His research project, ‘Encountering Digital Collections’ has continued this development, advancing ‘Practical approaches to using digital collections in research and pedagogy’, and showcasing the role of libraries as a nexus for research and teaching.
