The Marg Foundation is looking for an energetic and innovative Business Development Executive to enhance the sales and subscription of its publications.

Location : Mumbai

The Role : Business Development Executive

Responsible for meeting the customer acquisition and revenue growth targets, maximizing Marg’s sales and subscription potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hits sales/subscription targets consistently
  • Designs and implements a strategic business plan that expands the customer base and ensures Marg’s strong presence among different target audiences
  • Builds and promotes strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Presents sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the Head of Sales
  • Identifies emerging markets and markets shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status in the market
  • Hosts events and manages sales at events

The ideal candidate must have : [requirements]

  • A degree in Marketing and Sales or a related field
  • Knowledge of the book and magazine trade, capacity to hold conversations with individuals and institutions in the fields of art and culture, and higher education
  • Committed to continuous learning and demonstrated aptitude for effective networking
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills and capacity to guide interns and assistants
  • Readiness to travel widely
  • Team-spirited and capacity to work in co-ordination with different departments
